You are welcome to marry in church whatever your beliefs and whether or not you go to church regularly. There does, however need to be a qualifying connection to our Parish of Sea Mills & Coombe Dingle. This can include:

> That you were baptised or confirmed at St Edyth’s Church.
> You have lived in the Parish for at least 6 months.
> You have attended St Edyth’s Church regularly for at least 6 months.
> A parent of either the Bride or Groom has lived in Sea Mills or Coombe Dingle for at least 6 months .
> A parent or grandparent was married in the parish.

If you do not have a qualifying connection to the church or parish, you can still marry at St Edyth’s. You will, however be required to obtain a special license from the Bishop of Bristol.

We would be happy to discuss all the above (and more!) with you, so please contact the church on 0117 968 6965 or email office@stedyth.org.uk.
