The Lighthouse Club (TLC) is a space where kids aged 4-11 years feel they belong to God’s family, encounter Jesus and prepare to shine out His love.
We are called The Lighthouse Club as we believe God commanded light to shine in the dark. “The God who said, “Out of darkness the light shall shine!” is the same God who made his light shine in our hearts, to bring us the knowledge of God’s glory shining in the face of Christ.” 2 Corinthians 4:6 – Good News Bible
We start gathering as a whole church family for sung worship and a moment together. Families will then be invited to head to the main hall where children will be welcomed into TLC and registered.
Younger children aged 2-4 are welcome to join with a parent helping them. Under 2’s are welcome to settle in the activity corner in church, or the foyer where the preach can be heard, and there are toys, but please be assured that St Edyth’s welcomes the chatter of babies, children … and adults alike. Older children are also welcome to help out informally but of course may prefer to stay with the adults.
In TLC we aim to continue the brilliant ways that families connect with Jesus through:
· Hearing Bible stories and personal stories from different people
· Wondering and chatting about those stories and how we can live them out
· Making things together and playing to build our sense of community
